Anthony Dworkin is a senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, where he leads the organisation’s work on democracy, human rights and justice. Among the subjects he has written on are the place of human rights in EU foreign policy, counterterrorism and drone strikes, and international justice in the response to mass atrocities. Since 2011 he has closely followed EU policy towards North Africa, with a particular focus on Egypt and Tunisia, and is editing a collection of papers on the region which will be published later this month. He is also currently serving as interim research director at ECFR.
