Eliška Tomalová is the Head of Department of European Studies at Charles University and Programme Director of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme European Politics and Society (EPS). Her research focuses on different forms and strategies in diplomatic practice (public diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, science diplomacy) and intercultural relations. Her teaching activities include courses on European Integration and Foreign Policies of EU Member states. Eliška Tomalová also participated as researcher in the Horizon 2020 project ‘Using science for/in diplomacy for addressing global challenges’ (S4D4C). E.Tomalová has also been in close contact with non-academic institutions providing expertise in the field of public and cultural diplomacy and state-branding. In EU studies, E. Tomalová has focused on socialisation practices in the EU, the analysis of EU cultural and public diplomacy and on Trio presidency.
