Ghenadie Barba

Chief of Rule of Law Unit, OSCE

Mr Ghenadie Barba, is the Chief of Rule of Law Unit at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE, based in Warsaw, Poland. Mr Barba leads a team of rule of law officers and provides assistance to the 57 participating States of the OSCE in such matters as independence and accountability of the judiciary, observance of the right to a fair trial, independence of prosecutors, gender and diversity in the judiciary, criminal justice, and administrative justice.

Mr Barba is a lawyer with two master degrees in criminal law and international crime and justice and has 20 years of experience of working on rule of law matters in a national prosecution service, and international organizations such as: OSCE, UNICEF, Council of Europe, and European Union’s Delegation in Eastern Neighborhood.
