Jan has been responsible for Strategic Marketing activities for Energy businesses since joining GE in 2010. In his current role he focuses on GE Power businessesin the region of Europe and Russia/CIS.As a member of Regional Marketingteam Jan contributes to the development of regional strategy, definition of growth initiatives and coordinates support from regional organizations for all GE Powerbusinesses. He is responsible for identification of new commercial growth opportunities within Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, PowerGenerationServices, Distributed Power, Renewables and Industrial Internet. He also leads design andexecution of Demand Creation initiatives aimed at delivering incremental commercial growth and creation of pilot reference for new GE technology applications in the region. Prior to joining GE, he spent more than 10 years in management consulting, working for The Boston Consulting Group and Arthur D. Little.
Jan has experience from many technology driven industries –energy, manufacturing, telecoms, airlines–and broad range of functional areas, from strategy, organization adjustment, business process redesigntopost-merger integration. Jan holds a Master’sDegree in MechanicalEngineering from the Czech Technical Institute (CVUT) in Prague, Master of Science and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, both from Imperial College, London
