Mirek Dušek

Managing Director, World Economic Forum

Mirek Dušek is Managing Director at the World Economic Forum, responsible for global
programming; he is also Head of Europe and Eurasia. As Managing Director, he oversees the
strategy and the organization of all large-scale World Economic Forum events, including the
Annual Meeting in Davos. As Head of Europe and Eurasia, he leads overall World Economic
Forum engagement with top government, business and civil society leaders from the
region.
Mr Dušek joined the World Economic Forum in 2007 as a Global Leadership Fellow. Prior to
joining the World Economic Forum, he worked on public diplomacy at the US Embassy in
Baghdad. Previously, he was Director of the American Centre at the US Embassy in Prague.
Mr Dušek holds a MA in International Studies from the University of Reading in the United
Kingdom and a BA in Political Science from the Charles University in Prague. He also studied
at Kuwait University and speaks Arabic fluently.
