Ondřej Šváb has been Head of the Space Technologies and Applications Unit at the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic since 2011. His main responsibilities include space activities at the level of the Czech Republic and geoinformatics at the Ministry of Transport. He is also the Czech representative in the bodies of the European Space Agency and in the space-related bodies of the EU, including the Space Working Party, Space Programme EU Committees, GSA/EUSPA Administrative Board, Space Policy Expert Group, ESA Council, ESA Earth Observation Programme Board and others. Ondřej Šváb has been Chairman of the ESA Data, Operations, Science and Technical Advisory Group (DOSTAG) since 9/2020. In this context, he is in charge of negotiating the EU Space Programme, EUSPA and related frameworks on behalf of the Czech Republic. Frequently, he provides expertise on space policy, Earth Observation and associated technologies. Finally, he is a land-space engineer and background geoinformatics expert.
