Worked in the 1990s as Reuters Correspondent in Kyiv, covering Ukraine, Belarus & Moldova. Extensively traveled throughout the region. Worked for BBC World Service in London as Editor of the Ukrainian Service. Produced several documentaries for Ukrainian Television on the transition to democracy of former Soviet republics and countries of Central & Eastern Europe. Worked in Brussels covering EU and NATO. Since 2014 he has been working in Prague for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Covered conflicts in Chechnya, Balkans and traveled to Afghanistan to report on memories of the Soviet invasion in that country. The topic of professional interests includes Ukraine-EU relations, NATO, Russian-Ukrainian relations, Eastern partnership countries, Central & Eastern Europe, cultural and religious developments in Ukraine.
