Thomas Gomart
Doctor in the history of international relations (Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne) and EMBA graduate (HEC), Thomas Gomart has been Director of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) since 2015, after having been Director of Strategic Development (2010-2015) and Director of the Russia/Nei Center (2004-2013). His current work focuses on Russia, digital governance, French foreign policy, and think tanks. He recently published L’affolement du monde – 10 enjeux géopolitiques, Editions Tallandier, 2019 (Prix Louis-Marin; Prix du Livre de géopolitique). Thomas Gomart was a member of the editorial board of the Revue stratégique de défense et de sécurité nationale 2017, placed under the authority of the Minister of the Armed Forces. He is a member of the IHEDN scientific council and the editorial board of Politique étrangère, Revue des deux mondes and Etudes, for which he writes the international column. Thomas Gomart is also named Chevalier de l’ordre national du mérite.
