Jaroslav Zajíček is currently serving as the Director of the Foreign Policy Department at the Office of the President of the Czech Republic. From 2016 to 2023, he held the position of Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the EU in Brussels. Prior to that, he was a Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C. Among other esteemed positions, he was a Head of the Internal Market Section as part of the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU from 2004 to 2009. He received his education at the University of Economics in Prague at the Faculty of International Relations during which he completed a management study stay at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium.
